At year-end 2001, the Computer Industry Almanac released figures that showed
Sweden with the highest proportion of Internet users, with 554.18 people
online for every 1,000 of the population. Iceland was in second place with
552.04 per 1,000. The USA came in sixth with 522.1.
CONTINENT WITH THE MOST INTERNET USERS
According to analysis Nua, as of September 2002, of the 605.6 million people
online worldwide, 190.91 million were online in Europe. Asia/Pacific was
second with 187.24 million users.
